Esther Kraus's Chewing Taffy

Ingredients:
2 c sugar
2 c table molasses
2 tbsp water
2 tsp vanilla

Cook until hardens in water.
Then add a pinch of baking soda. Stir and put on buttered platter.
When cool enough, dip hands in water and pull 'till white
